As we come to the close of another year, we’ve been taking time to look back on all the laughter, progress, and joy that filled our camp this year. Rotary’s Camp Florida isn’t just a place where people come to camp-it’s a place where barriers fall away, friendships take root, and everyone gets to feel like they belong. None of this would be possible without you.

This year was one of incredible growth but fraught with operational challenges
because of lower attendance from camps due to bigger economic realities.
Across the camp, organizations like ours have been impacted by economic
hardships. Some simply can’t stay afloat financially, and others must cut back
on their programs.

That’s where you come in. Your year-end giving will go straight to programs and
where needs are most critical, allowing us to keep serving the children and
families who rely on us.

Restoring Beauty and Building Belonging

One of the most heartwarming stories from this year came from a project that’s
near to our hearts: the revival of Connor’s Corner Garden. The garden, once
worn and quiet, has been lovingly brought back to life by the Leadership
Brandon Class of 2025 and the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce. What
began as a simple effort to replant flowers has turned into something much
deeper-a space that brings peace, reflection, and connection to everyone who
visits.

For our campers, many of whom face unique challenges every day, the garden
has become a living classroom. They plant, nurture, and watch life unfold in a
way that mirrors their own growth. It’s not just about flowers-it’s about confidence, patience, and the joy that comes from caring for something and watching it thrive.

Connor’s Corner reminds us why this camp exists: to make sure everyone, no matter their
ability, has a place to grow, learn, and feel proud of who they are.

This fall, Rotary’s Camp Florida also hosted our annual “Keep Rotary’s Camp Florida Beautiful”
event. Over 70 Rotarians and volunteers came together to paint cabins, share fellowship, and
improve spaces that thousands of campers use each year. We’re deeply grateful to every
Rotarian who rolled up their sleeves to make a difference. Your service truly keeps the heart of
Camp Florida beating.

Looking Toward the New Year

As we plan for 2026, we’re filled with excitement for what’s ahead. There’s so much more we
want to do for the families we serve. With your continued help, we’ll be able to:

· Provide scholarships so no camper has to miss out because of financial need.
. Upgrade our cabins and grounds to make them even more accessible and welcoming.
. Expand our programs to reach new campers across Florida.
. Train and support the volunteers and staff who make every moment at camp possible.
